Ajith Nivard Cabral cannot resign without answering the Financial Frauds: UNP

The United National Party has emphasized that the Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal has to answer now for the financial frauds which had taken place during the previous regime, without which his resignation cannot be accepted and he cannot leave the post of Governor of Central Bank.

This has been reiterated by the United National Party Member of the Parliament Harsha De Silva. The moment the Governor of Central Bank submitted his resignation, the U.N.P’s M.P. accused against the financial fraudulency of the Governor of Central Bank. For the last four years massive accusations are imposed upon Ajith Nivard Cabraal. Harsha De Silva has pointed that Stock Exchange fraud, illegal temporary fund transfer activities, and financial fraudulence in the Employees Provident Fund Scams. Therefore, the UNP’s M.P. urged that without giving proper answers to these financial scams, the Central Bank Governor cannot step down and leave his post.
