Anandhi Sasidharan faces continues threatenings

Northern Provincial Councilor Anandhi Sasidharan says she faces continues threatening from state intelligence unit.

Two police personals have questioned my driver on owner of the vehicle, at the moment I was not inside the vehicle. Later on two intelligence unit members visited the site and conduct investigations against my driver and also they have taken photograph of my vehicle. Due to threatening I spent my whole night I stayed under the shelter of tree and joined my group on the next day. I would like to request the new government to pay their attention threatening faced by Tamil activists in SriLanka. Meanwhile Anandhi Sasidharan handed over petition towards Pope Francis on requesting to impose pressures of former and new Lankan presidents to take necessary steps to hold investigations on disappeared persons in SriLanka.
