Leaflets distributed on urging to boycott election

State Intelligence Unit’s planning on stopping Tamils from casting their votes in the presidential election revealed to society.

On behalf of Tamil National Alliance Democratic Unit, Army intelligence unit members currently distribute fake leaflets among people. The fake leaflet contains the symbol of house and named as Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi. “Prior to voting just spend five minutes and ask these questions on your own. Lets boycott the election, voting or lets cancel our voting”. Intelligence unit members have distributed these leaflets in Jaffna, Killinochchie and Mullaitivu districts last night. However Tamil National Alliance called upon their people to cast their votes in the presidential election and not to trust these fake leaflets. TNA expressed concern over intelligence unit members’ activities and made urgent request towards voters to cast their votes and prove their democratic rights.
