Meerigama divisional secretariat spends Rs.35 million to Rajapaksa

During the time of presidential election Meerigama Divisional Secretriat has spent Rs.35 million for the victory of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, UNP members of the council said.

Large sum of money spent for single candidate. Rs.35 million spent to purchase exercise books which contains President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s photograph as cover page. These officials failed to call on tender. UNP members inform the minister of public administration and Buddhist affairs Karu Jayasuriya this regard and requests minister to hold further investigations
