27 School students at Jaffna rushed to hospital over consuming poison water

Over twenty school children were hospitalized in Jaffna today after being poisoned from consuming water from the school tank, the police said.

According to police officials, 27 school children had been rushed to a nearby state hospital by the school authorities after they fell ill from consuming the water. Police said that two poison bottles had been found from the water tank and the school management had lodged a complaint with the local police. Police have launched investigations to probe the incident.
