Puthukudiyiruppu residents protest against land survey activities

Residents of Puthukudiyiruppu today staged protest on demanding to release their land grabbed by the military personals.

Group of survey department officials from Colombo visited Puthukudiyiruppu to measure 50 acres of lands belongs to people. Area residents round up the land where the military camp located and the Puthukudiyiruppu divisional secretariat, they stage protest at the divisional secretariat premises. Due to this situation officials from Colombo was unable to carry out their duty and they returned back.
