Prisoners are permitted to visit home to celebrate New Year

Group of Lankan prisoners are permitted to visit their home to celebrate Sinhala- Tamil New Year and should return to prison end of celebrations.

According to the Prison Commissioner M.B.A.Pushpakumara these prisoners are selected according to their wellbeing and prisoners committed minor offences are permitted visit home.
