Lalith Weeratunga to be questioned on Northern housing project

Former Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga ordered to appear before the CID office on 13th of May over spending Rs.16 crore twenty laks to construct houses for war victims in the North and Eastern parts of the island.
Rs.16 core twenty laks allocated to construct houses for people affected from war and natural disasters in the North and Eastern parts of the island.
This project carried out by the Rada Company. However during the time of investigations it was revealed not a single house was constructed in the North and Eastern parts of the island.
Money granted to the Rada Company was deposited in the bank accounts belong to textile garments.
4 Arrested in connection with this incident. Parliamentarian Tiran Alles was also re-investigated on this matter.
Police will carry out investigations against Lalith Weeratunga on May 13.
