M.Illanchelian appointed has judge of Jaffna High Court

Chief Justice K.Sripavan appointed M.Illanchelian has judge of Jaffna High Court from 1st of June.

He will be serving as special judge at Jaffna. He will be investigating murder case of Chundukuli school girl Krishanthi and mass grave at Chemmani. Since 1999 -2000 Illanchelian served as judge in the Jaffna peninsula and for the next three years he served as judge of Mannar district court. During the time of war Illanchelian served as Vavuniya district court judge. In 2008 he has been appointed has commissioner of Trincomalee high court , continued his services till year 2010. In 2010 he transferred as Kalmunai district court judge and once again in year 2012 Illanchelian assumed duties has Commissioner of Trincomalee high court. In 2014 he appointed has judge of Kalmunai high court. Illanchelian will assume duties as Jaffna high court judge on Monday.
