SriLankans warns on major earthquake disaster

Senior Geologist Professor C.B.Dissanayake warns on major tremors in SriLanka.

These major earthquakes reports due to changes occurred in the Indian –Australian earth plates. This plate located 500-700 meters away from SriLanka and these plates are moving for past 50 million years. At present cracks are reporting in the Indian- Australian plates. This situation will cause major landslides in the hill country. Recent earthquake at Nepal has caused vibrations in the Indian plate and it would affect SriLanka. According to our reports 200 people in Colombo killed due to earthquake reported on 15th April 1615. Portuguese owns clear reports this regard. In year 2012 we faced major earthquake in the Indian-Australian plates. Professors warned SriLanka to be prepared to face this earthquake.
