Evident on Trincomalee torture camp revealed : Naval commander caught

Navy personals are involved in the abduction of five school boys on September 17th , 2008 at Dehiwala area.
This abduction reported around 10.00 pm.
Intelligence Unit officer for abduction cases Nishantha de Silva today informed the Colombo high court that naval personals lieutenant commanders Ranasinghe Sumith Ranasinghe, Hettiarachchie Prasath and Sampath Munasinghe were involved in this abduction.
Briefing on the hearing leading attorney-at-law K.V.Thawarasa went on to say, Intelligence Unit officer for abduction cases Nishantha de Silva informed the court that these three naval commanders involved in abduction of 11 individuals including 5 school boys at Dehiwala area.
These three have abducted individuals while at Dehiwala, Cheku Street and Wattala areas.
At first all these abductees were detained at the Chaithiya road and later on transferred to the navy tortured camp at Trincomalee.
All these have urged Rs.1 crore bribe to release one student.

Attorney at law K.V.Thawarasa questioned whether Navy commander Wasantha Karannagoda was aware of these abductions and detentions? Former Navy Commander Wasantha Karannagoda and the former Navy Spokesman Dissanayake were well aware on this detention and also Wasantha Karannagoda failed to pay much attention to release all these five school boys.
Intelligence unit officials have questioned 42 individuals.
They also visited to the detention center at Chaitiya road and Navy torture camp at Trincomalee and collected evident from those sites.
Gihan Balapitiya, Chief magistrate of the Colombo high court postponed the case till 14th of July.
Senior lawyers K.V.Thawarasa and J.C.Weliyamuna appeared on-behalf of petitioners
