Investigation on the first Sri Lankan ISIS Member

The Police commenced their Investigation on the First Sri Lankan ISIS Member.

The IGP has instructed Central Province Police authorities to conduct investigations into a slain ISIS militant who reported to be a Sri Lankan. According to the Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera told the media yesterday that, the police needs to ascertain the real truth in the story. The Media reports claimed that this ISIS militant was known in the organization as Abu Shuraih Sailani. He was reportedly a former Sri Lankan Karate instructor and a principal of an international school. A member of the school management told the media yesterday that, the suspected militant had served for two years as a principal of the public school in Galewela. He had suddenly resigned from his job saying that he wanted to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca.
