Sri Lanka army are well disciplined persons : Army commander

Army Commander Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva today assured that the troops in the Sri Lanka army are well disciplined and professional in their conduct.

After visiting the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy the army commander said that he will continue to ensure the army remains a disciplined unit. The army will celebrate its 66th anniversary next month and a series of religious events are being held ahead of the main celebrations. However the image of the army has been shrouded in controversy after a report released by the UN recently accused some troops of being involved in human rights abuses during the war.
