At a meeting held at the Killinochchi district secretariat, a mother requested the Minister Manoganeshan to give her disappeared daughter, appearing with the president in a photo and displayed in the hundred-day election campaign leaflet, back to her.
The mother who requested Manoganeshan to give her disappeared daughter back to her is Kasipillai Jeyavathani from Periyamadu, Nedunkerny in Vavuniya north.
“My daughter was captured by the Sri Lankan military in a round-up on 4th of March, 2009. After that, no single information has been revealed about my daughter. But, my daughter appeared with the President Maithripala in a photo displayed in the hundred-day election campaign leaflet. Meanwhile, my daughter Jeromi was displayed in “Nethra” TV program telecast on the President’s birthday. Therefore, my daughter is still alive. Please give my daughter back”, the teary mother requested the Minister Manoganeshan.
In addition, showing the evidences, she spoke to Sampanthan and many other ministers in this regard. But nothing happened so far, the teary mother added.
