In north, 11, 710 acres of private lands are still being occupied by the Sri Lankan armed forces, according to the statistics taken through the District Secretaries. Despite several thousands of acres of lands are being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan military, the details about these are yet to be disclosed.
Totally 11, 710 acres of privately owned lands in Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Mannar districts are still being occupied by the Sri Lankan military, according to the information gathered through the respective district secretaries.
214 acres of lands in Jaffna, 3218 aces of lands in Mullaitivu, 501 acres of lands in Mannar and 777 acres of lands in Vavuniya are still being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan military.
These are only the privately owned lands that are still being occupied by the occupying Sri Lankan military. But several thousands of public lands are still being taken hold by the occupying Sri Lankan military. In addition, many acres of forest lands were deforested and military set up their camps there.
