The relatives of those who were disappeared testified with the photos of their loved ones before the UN committee. That was a poignant scene.
These relatives have gone everywhere to testify. They have been shedding tears. They have been begging each government came to office. Everybody keeps mum in this regard. This silent kept by all ignites these innocent people.
Presidential commissions were set up by the past regimes to find out those were disappeared. It was scared that testifying before these commissions might cause dangerous consequences to those who testified due to the tensed political circumstance prevailed at that time.
Silent is long kept though the years passed and regimes changed…….
There is no word to express the sufferings of the families of those who were disappeared.
They are in search of their fathers, mothers, children, brothers, sisters, husbands and wives.
We will testify before the UN committee. We will let them know how our relatives had been disappeared. We will tell them our troubles due to their disappearances.
UN officers told the people not to reveal anything to the Medias when they went to testify at Manar.
Will my son come back if I keep quiet, one of the mothers asked. The mother’s cry for searching for her son made everyone around it sad. Even the stone seeing this mother’s cry will become soluble, but the respective authorities do not mind much about the cries of these mothers.
We will believe that this UN committee would put an end to these mother’s tears. These relatives are becoming vulnerable as they have been shedding tears.
These people are waiting with the photos of their loved ones, who were disappeared, with the hope of receiving justice from the UN committee set up in accordance with the Geneva resolution passed last time.
Will the UN committee find out those who were disappeared?
