UN commissioner to meet Northern Chief

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Hussein will conduct a meeting with the Northern Province Chief Vignewaran during his visit to Sri Lanka. United Nations Human Rights Commission has stated that it had been monitoring Sri Lanka over the Geneva resolution. Meanwhile, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights is to visit Sri Lanka in February next year to conduct a study on the country’s position and activities. The commissioner who is scheduled to meet with the key lawmakers of the country is also said to visit the North to meet the Chief C.V.Vigneswaran.
