Actions of setting up a commemorative obelisk are going to be speedily commenced by the Northern Provincial Council at Mullivaikal before the Mullivaikal Remembrance Day.
Proposal for setting up a commemorative obelisk at Mullivaikal has been tabled and unanimously passed at the NPC.
Subsequently, actions of setting up a commemorative obelisk before the Mullivaikal Remembrance Day are going to be commenced soon. Following to that, a team has been newly formed by the Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council to carry out these tasks.
That team consists of nine members including the Vice Chairman of NPC Antony Jeganathan, opposition party leader and ruling party members from each district in Northern Province.
Accordingly, following to the provincial council sessions to be held on coming 12th , this team will arrange a special meeting and discuss about the steps to be speedily taken to set up the commemorative obelisk at Mullivaikal.
