Heated Argument Between the Police & 'the Sinhale'

The ‘Sinhale’ organization gathered in front of the Temple of Tooth in Kandy yesterday, to give a special pledge.

They arrived at Kandy in a motorcade, started near the Independence Square in Colombo. The Buddhist flag was displayed in vehicles. Participants carried Buddhist flags as well. It was reported that the participants displayed the flag that does not represents the minorities, which led to an outburst recently. The motorcade from Colombo arrived at Mawanella town around 2 pm yesterday, where they had organized a meeting. But, However, the Mawanella police had warned those, who conduct the motorcade to avoid lighting firecrackers in the town. A heated argument arose between the police and the participants regarding the police warning.
