"Certain NPC members had pointed out to the Chief Minister that the TPC was an obstacle to the functions of the NPC. The TPC being a democratic and non - political body, the Chief Minister listened to the views expressed by the NPC members. But no decision has been taken to dissolve the TPC. It will remain as it is. The TPC Committee is presently engaged in preparing the proposals for the intended new Constitution. The TPC is also for the unity and integrity of the country. However we don't want to play hide and seek with regard to the aspirations of our people," Premachandran said. He also added that the proposal of the TPC for the Constitution was expected to be completed by end of this month. |
