Women parliamentarians facing sexual harassment at the parliamentary Complex

While the government is making laws to increase female representation in national politics, several female Parliamentarians representing the two mainstream parties have complained to their party authorities that they were being subjected to sexual harassment by elderly MPs within the Parliamentary premises. A female MP had complained to her party authorities that a senior Parliamentarian touched her hand in an inappropriate manner during a Parliamentary session. Another female MP had complained that a senior MP had passed sexist and vulgar remarks at her, within the Parliamentary premises, soon after a session.
