The corpse of the teen Gangatharan Harishnavi was buried at Thatchanankulam Hindu crematorium today (Feb 19).
A large crowd of area residents gathered and paid floral tribute before the burial. Some youths participated in the procession of the funeral were holding banners in their hands demanding justice for the brutal rape and murder of the young student.

An autopsy conducted on a teen found dead in a house in Vavuniya has found that she was raped and murdered.
The 14 year old girl was found hanging from the neck with the help of a saree inside the house on Tuesday.
Investigations into the death had been launched and a post-mortem examination was conducted on the body of the victim.
The post-mortem examination found that the teen had been sexually abused and murdered. The police have launched investigations to identify the culprits.
