The province wide hartal which is being observed across the Northern Province condemning the recent rape and murder of the 13 year old school girl Gangatharan Harishnavi, paralyzes mercantile operations and transport services.
The protesters demand for an immediate investigation and arrest of the responsible culprits of the rape and murder.
School activities are as usual due to the ongoing examinations.
