Two Suspects Confess over Ekneligoda Disappearance. Two Tamil suspects in the enforced disappearance of journalist Prageeth Ekneligoda yesterday made a confession after turning state witness.
These two ex-LTTE members gave the confession to Homagama magistrate Ranga Dissanayake at his chamber.
Arrested by the CID, they are from Kuchchaveli, Trincomalee and Kalladi, Batticaloa.
The Army personnel, presently in remand custody over the Ekneligoda disappearance, had used the two Tamils’ identity cards to buy SIMs.
According to the police sources, based upon the information given by them, ex-defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will be questioned soon, say police headquarters sources.
Earlier, two other Tamil suspects, including Sumathipala Suresh Kumar alias Thavendran, were freed after turning state witness.
