30 years of conflict: 83 July insurgency and other violence are reasons – C.V.

Northern Provincial Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran stated that the reasons for the 30 years of armed conflict took place due to the July insurgency and other violence carried out by the Sinhala chauvinistic personnel against Tamil people. The insurgency and other violence against Tamils left the depressed Tamil youth to take arms in their hands, Mr. Wigneswaran stated this while addressing on the draft of proposal of the political solution at the Provincial Council on Thursday (April 7). He further stated that it was natural when a minority communities are depressed by the majority in a country, the youth of the minority choose the way of violence to oppose them that is what happened in Sri Lanka.
