Sri Lankan military is engaged in the complete recordings of the business firms located at the vicinity of Killinochchi town.
Two Sri Lankan military soldiers visited the business firms located in front of the Killinochchi hospital door to door and recorded the details such as the name of the shop, name of the owner, contact number, GS division, number of employees, address and family details of the owner and type of business.
In that respect, when the particular owner of a grocery shop was asked by the Sri Lankan military soldiers to tell the above mentioned details, he asked several questions from military soldiers such as “Why do you want us to give the details?”, “Are we still under the military regime?”, “How many times do you collect the details”, “Why do you interfere in the civil administration?”
One of the military soldiers responded as follows;
“Though the police are here, we are also here. Everything is under our control. We collect these details according to the instructions instructed to us”
Also, the particular military soldier intimidated the shop owner by stating that he would be sent to Irainaimadu Camp if the details are not given.
He further questioned that why he doesn’t give details while all other shop owners give the details. He further added that they collect these details for the security reasons.
The particular shop owner fearlessly stated that he would not give details as he is not afraid of anything. However, the military soldiers anyhow collected the details of the particular shop and the shop owner.
The military soldiers further stated that they collect the details of the shops, private tuitions and institutes located at Uthayanagar East and West Ananthanagar.
