Ampalapperumal-Thunukkai area is being rundown

Ampalapperumal-Thunukkai area is being rundown

Will the Northern Provincial Council take note of this?
It is necessary to fulfill the fundamental needs of the war torn areas. Mullaitivu district which was worse affected by the war is the most backward district in Sri Lanka. There are many abandoned and backward areas in this district. The area in between Thunukkai and Ampalaperumal is being as an underprivileged area where no basic needs are available.

Consequently, thousands of people living in the areas belonging to Thunukkai Divisional Secretariat such as Amaithipuram, Ampalaperumal, Koottaikaddiyakulam, Thenniyankulam, Uyilankulam and Veeddaiyadaippu are continuing their lives in the midst of great tragedies.  The people who subsist on agriculture have been living in these areas. Many students drop their studies because of the poverty in these areas.
Thunukkai- Ampalaperumal area has not been facing the developments for 30 years due to the war. Worse affected Thunukkai- Ampalaperumal road is the best example for this. This road is still bumpy. Consequently, the transportation through this road is worse affected. Only one bus is in service through this road.
The people living in these areas have been facing tremendous difficulties to fulfill their basic needs due to the lack of transportation facilities. Why this road where the elephant threat is prevalent is not renovated? Due to these issues, student dropouts and deaths are caused. As a consequence of these, the Mullaitivu district is being rundown again and again.
In fact, Thunukkai- Ampalaperumal road is geographically important road. This is the shortest path which leads to Mallavi, Mannar, Pooneryn and Vavuniya. If this road is renovated, time taken to go these areas will be minimized. People had been living very closer to this road through which they did their transportation during the war time. But, the buses are afraid of entering into this road nowadays. Will the respective authority take this issue into their consideration?
This particular area was first resettled after the war. However, it is still being as a deprived area where no basic needs are available. Meanwhile, what can these people, who are in a position to travel 30 kilometers to get medical and educational facilities, do without transport facilities?
The deprived people who subsist on agricultural jobs and daily wedged jobs are being further backwarded without being able to receive the basic facilities such as education and medicine. It is highlighted that renovating this road is the must to uplift the lives of these deprived people.
