The international community failed to save the Tamils when they had been killed with internationally prohibited weapons by the previous rulers of the country during the final phase of civil war at Mullivaikal, said Dr.Ganesh, the president of Students Rescue Forum of Trincomalee. Addressing the gathering at the remembrance of Mullivaikal Day in Trincomalee on Wednesday (May 18), Dr. Ganesh listed the massacres on Sri Lankan Tamils carried out by the chauvinist forces over the decades in North and East such as Kokkadicholai massacre, Mutur massacre, Chatrukondan massacre, Chemmani massacre, Vantharumoolai massacre, Navaly church massacre, Krishanthi murder, Cencholai massacre and in Amparai district, Veeramunai massacre, Savalakkadai massacre, Udumpankulam massacre, Thiraikeny massacre, Natpittymunai massacre etc. He said the Mullivaikal Day is remembered to mark the massacre of Tamil who were killed after severe torture.
