2 former LTTE members detained by Sri Lanka's TID

Officers from Sri Lanka's Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) detained two former LTTE cadres on Tuesday evening in Mullaitivu. The pair, Keetheeswaran originally from Trincomalee and Savithiri originally from Vaddkachchi, were a married couple who had been living in Sivanagar in Mullaitivu. The reason for the arrest has not been officially stated, however locals said Mr Ketheeswaran was arrested due to a video clip on his mobile telephone. Mr Keetheeswaran was arrested by Oddusunddan town centre, whilst his wife was arrested at home, neighbours said. The TID did not take any legal measures prior to the detentions.
