The truth of how Tamil people were affected during the war should be found through research and investigations, said TNA parliamentarian S.Sritharan in parliament on Thursday (July 7). Speaking on the debate of the 2nd reading of the Bill of the National Research Council of Sri Lanka he called for a transparent probe on the suspicious deaths of the rehabilitated LTTE members after they were released. 103 rehabilitated members of the LTTE have died up to date due to cancer disease. Many of them have been partially disabled i.e. paralyzed below hip due to the vaccine which was injected by the military during the inquiry after they surrendered. He also requested to establish an office of the National Research Council at Mankulam to engage in research to find out the truth.
