Minister and Cabinet Spokesman Rajitha Senaratne said yesterday (10th Aug),that the government requested the Northern Province Health ministry to take an investigation carried out with doctors to find out whether former LTTE members who were rehabilitated, were injected with toxic vaccines.
He also stated if the Government need international help, then they carried out the participation with the international doctors to find out whether the ex-cadres were injected with toxic.
But Northern provincial council Chief Minister C V Wigneshwaran submitted the proposal for international inquiry for this issue, during the Northern Provincial Council Meeting held at the Provincial Council Complex of Kaithadi in Jaffna yesterday (10th Aug).
