The lands which are occupied by the military should be given to the owners of the lands, the head of All Ceylon Fisheries Federation and the Member of Parliament Nihal Galappaththi said yesterday (17th Aug) during the media conference in Jaffna.
He also said, in 1992 people were displaced by war from Killinochi Irani village, after this displacement the Navy occupied the lands in Irani village. People from Irani village lost their live hood occupation. The military should be expelled from the lands and resettle the lands to the people. He asserted he will be talked about this issue on 24th, 25th and 26th sitting in Parliament. He also said he will talk about Mayilitty resettlement too.
