Sri Lanka government’s intelligent unit functions behind the violence erupted aftermath of the killing of Jaffna University students to keep the peninsula in a tensed situation, said N. Srikantha, a former parliamentarian and the Secretary of the Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO).
He said his party had called for an all-party meeting to discuss on tackling the violent culture and on future measures to be taken to calm down the region.
Accordingly, the meeting is scheduled to be held on Sunday (Nov 6) at 10 a.m.
The party has invited major Tamil parties such as Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK), Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front (EPRLF), Democratic People’s Liberation Front (DPLF), Tamil National People’s Front (TNPF), Social Democratic Party of Tamils (SDPT), Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) and Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO).
