The cyclonic storm “NADA” in the South-west Bay of Bengal is now located around 200km to the north-east of Kankasanturai coast and it is expected to move north-westward.
It is likely cross North Tamil Nadu coast today midnight. Under the influence of the above system very strong winds and heavy showers are expected in the Northern, Eastern and North-central provinces, until 02nd December, said the meteorological department of Sri Lanka.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern and North-centralprovinces. Fairly heavy falls (about75 mm) can be expected at some places, said the met department.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places elsewhere, it added.
