The Jaffna Magistrate’s Court has ordered the five policemen who were in remand custody for the death of two students of the University of Jaffna to be remanded further till December 16.
The Jaffna Magistrate ordered when the accused were produced before him today (Dec 2).
The two students were allegedly shot dead on the night of October 20 at a police checkpoint at Kokuvil, in Jaffna.
Though police initially denied the shooting, the post-mortem found bullets lodged in the body of the student who was driving the bike at the time of the accident.
