Minister of Prison Reforms, Rehabilitation, Resettlement, and Hindu Affairs D.M.Swaminathan in India reiterated that foreign judges would not be allowed to investigate the alleged war crimes committed during the civil war in Sri Lanka. Mr. Swaminathan told the reporters during the visit to Chidambaram temple in Tamil Nadu recently. He said that the Sri Lankan justice system was capable to carry out such investigation. He added that some 5000 acres of private lands had been released by the military forces.
