Northern Provincial Council member T. Ravikaran said the annual commemoration of the Mullivaikkal Massacre would be organized by the Northern Provincial Council. He said arrangements of the events were underway at Mullivaikkal, adding that the Council would discuss on that after the sitting of the Council on the 9th of May. The NPC commemorates every year amidst objections and threats the mass killing of the civilians during the final phase of the civil war during the first quarter of 2009 at Mullivaikkal.
