A 17 year old youth from Eealam, Mr. Sunthararaj Fredrick Winslaw, urged the UN Human Rights Council to give pressure to the Sri Lankan government for an international investigation on alleged war crimes and human rights violations.
He expressed these views at the ongoing 35th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva.
He accused that Sri Lankan government has not fulfilled the responsibility for accountability obligations under the clause 30/1 decision which was passed in the year 2015.
He further added that even after the war, the tortures against Tamils are continuing and he believes that only international investigation mechanism can bring justice to Tamils.
