The function of the Buddhist monks has made a little bit of trouble when the national anthem was played during the event of 313 graduates from Eastern Province. Presentation of 313 Graduates of Eastern Province by President Maithripala Sirisena will be held at Batticaloa Weber Stadium today. When the national anthem was played, the Buddhist cleric Bala Vallaripathy Ampitiya Sumanathaarre, who attended the Hindu, Muslim and Christian religious leaders, stood in the seat without respect. The national anthem is one of the symbols of a country. It is the obligation of every citizen to respect this.
But Buddhist monks do not practice this in this country. This situation took place during the recent Independence Day event in Jaffna.
External Ministers, former members of Provincial Council, Batticaloa District Secretary, Eastern Provincial Ministries Secretaries, Eastern Provincial Education, including the Minister of State for Human Resources MLA Amish Ali, Deputy Minister of State for Human Resources Rohitha Bogollagama Department officials, Heads of Departments, Divisional Secretaries, Religious Many people were also present.
