Case filed against Pagirathi visited her mother in SriLanka

State intelligence unit officials arrested former LTTE female carder Murugesu Pagirathi. She left the LTTE movement 15 years ago.
Pageerathi left the country on 2005 and visited SriLanka with her 8 years old daughter to spend her vacation with her parents at Killinochchie. She returned back to France on Monday and arrested while at the Bandaranike International Airport.
Pageerathy produced before the court and remanded for 14 days, Murugesu Welan, brother of Pageerathi informed the BBC.
Pagirathi suffered from sudden illness left the LTTE movement and never maintained any contacts with them, Welan said.
Speaking to BBC he went on to say her visited SriLanka to meet her mother suffer from cancer. Pagirathi’s 8 years old daughter was also detained . My sister visited SriLanka on keeping trust on new regime, Welan said.
However SriLanka police says while serving in the LTTE Pagirathi involved in various attacks and legal action would be taken against her.
Police media spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana says Pagiriathi was detained for three days under the police custody and carrying out further investigations against her.
Since 1997-2000 she served as the leader of the LTTE sea tiger and left the country on year 2005. Under her leadership she carried out various terrorist attacks against Lankan naval bases. She also trained female suicide bomb attackers. We received informations about her and arrested while leaving the country, police media spokesman said, BBC reports.
