Military camp set up at the teak forest grown by the LTTE

Teak forest planted by the LTTE’s Division of the protection of Forest resources has been being as the military camp.
This place, which is full of beauty and coolness, had been as the place of entertainment. Now, our people cannot go there, our reporter observed.
Tree planting scheme had been being continuously launched by the LTTE’s Division of the protection of Forest resources.  
The LTTE’s Division of the protection of Forest resources had been engaging with the policy of planting trees and protecting forests though trees were being destroyed due to the war.
Widespread teak forests in north are the evident for intensive care of the LTTE’s Division of the protection of Forest resources in planting the teak trees which are optimal to the soil, our reporter stated.
The one, who was minister in the previous government, cut and sold the teak trees planted by the Tamileelam Forest Resources Protection Division in Mullaitivu. Also, he attempted to seize the land where teak trees were planted after destroying it.
Most of the teak trees planted by the Tamileelam Forest Resources Protection Division at the vicinity of Mankulam region were set to fire by the Sri Lankan military.   
Global Tamil News already reported that the Sri Lankan military had destroyed the teak trees for setting up their camps and sentries.
Teak trees planted at Visuvamadu by the LTTE’s Division of the protection of Forest resources is now being as a big military camp.
People who visit to Mullaitivu cannot go to this place which is full of beautiful and coolness now.
A big military camp was set up there at the cost of many teak trees planted there. In addition to that tea stall was also built for the military to get rest at this place.
Forest trees are destroyed and transported as the planks to other districts. Deforestation has been continuously taking place especially at Mullaitivu.
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Srisena has recently agreed that forests had been protected only in north and east.
However, it is noted that forests, which were well protected in north and east earlier, are being destroyed for taking the planks to other districts and setting up the military camps.
