President Maithripala Sirisena and UPFA general secretary Susil Premajayantha have reached an extensive consensus with regard to the national government to be formed after the parliamentary election. |
According to this agreement, if the UPFA wins a majority of seats, Premajayantha will be made the prime minister, and if the UNP wins most seats, he will be the deputy PM in the national government. Meanwhile, Premajayantha said after paying homage to the sacred tooth relic in Kandy yesterday morning that a new lease of life was given to them by the special statement made by the president recently. After that statement, the party activists and supporters have become active, he said. |
