Modi meets Maithripala at UN General Assembly

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and President Maithripala Sirisena held a bilateral meeting yesterday in the backdrop of the 70th UN General Assembly in New York.

India's Ministry of External Affairs Spokesman Vikas Swarup said on Twitter, "Continuing the momentum. After PM @RW_UNP visits India, PM @narendramodi meets with President Sirisena of Sri Lanka". The UN General Assembly convened yesterday at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will address the gathering on the 30th of September.
