Tamil protests in Mannar call for release of all political prisoners

Politicians and families of the disappeared held demonstrations in Mannar to call for the release of Tamil political prisoners on Tuesday.

A procession of demonstrators walked from St Sebastian Church towards the Mannar District Secretariat to demand the release of all political prisoners.

The demonstration, organised by the Citizen’s Committee of Mannaar, was attended by Tamil Naitonal Alliance MPs and civil society.
