Chief Ministers to meet president

Chief Ministers of Provincial Councils are schedule to meet President Maithripala Sirisena tomorrow to discuss on the fund allocations made to the provincial councils in the new budget.

Chief Ministers and President hold discussion on problems raised on fund allocation at the parliament complex and President promised to solve to the issue at the next meeting. Earlier central government directly allocated funds to provincial councils however at present funds were allocated through the ministry of provincial councils and local councils. All Chief Ministers strongly opposes this decision.
