During the Mahinda’s regime, India gained the permission to set up a coal power plant at Sampoor. Lands of Sampoor people, who had been living in the refugee camps for 9 years due to the setting up of a coal power plant, have been released.
818 acres of lands of these people have been released by the present government. It has been revealed that among these 818 acres of lands, Japan demands 515 acres of lands to set up their coal power plant. Japan demands the paddy lands of Sampoor people. Sampoor people are shocked and hindered by this shocking news.
