Jaffna to be submerged with water?

Today in the Nijathin Thedal programme we will discuss whether Jaffna Peninsula shall be submerged by the sea due to changes in the weather pattern.

Jaffna is located up to the sea level and this was protected by small plot at Elephantpass. This small land protects the Jaffna peninsula and drains water. If this plot submerged Jaffna will turn towards island. In Jaffna within the 1.012 sq km we own 120,000 water wells , we own morethan one thousand tanks and 2500 drainages to evacuate water.
