The government’s stand on the leadership of DDC is against the aspirations of Tamils

The government’s stand on the leadership of District Development Committee is against the aspirations of Tamils, P.Kajatheepan, the member of Northern Provincial Council stated.
When addressing as the Chief Guest at a festival held in the Eelalai Kannakiamman Community Centre, he stated like this.
Following are further stated by him;
District Development Committee is responsible for monitoring and speeding up the administrative activities of the development activities carried out at the places where Tamil people have been living as the majority.
Taking the leadership of it is very much important and very much responsible for deciding the lives of Tamil people.
The actions of this government that acts in the guise of the government for good governance deceives Tamil people as this government does not do what was promised by it with regard to the leadership of District Development Committee particularly,  keeping the High Security Zones as it was and failing to release all the Tamil political prisoners, etc. Tamils are disappointed by all of these.
It is suspicious that this government behaves totally against the aspirations of Tamil people compared to the previous governments as many actions of this government, in particular, co-chairs of Jaffna and Killinochchi District Committees.
In the guise of Co-chairs, Minister Vijayakala MAheshwaran, Akajan who was refused by the people in election and came to parliament through national list, and Honorable Chief Minister C.V.Wigneshwaran were nominated as the Co-chairs of District Development Committee.
This is the great insult to our Chief Minister who was overwhelmingly elected by our people. These Co-chairs should be distributed to the advice of the TNA that was overwhelmingly elected by the Tamil people.  It seems that we cannot expect justice from this government. The way it behaves for nearly one year is the evidence for this.

It is suspicious whether attempts are being made to mark the foot of the chauvinist political parties in our soil through providing such important leaderships by giving appointments to those who came from chauvinist patties to parliament without the unanimous support.
