Stickers on which "The lion's blood" is written are being distributed throughout the country to spread racism among the Sinhalese by inducing them as to feel themselves as the descendents of lion. Colombo based Medias revealed their suspicion that chauvinist elements are in the background with regard to this.
It is insisted that these stickers should be pasted in the business firms and vehicles of Sinhalese. Medias made accusation that somebody attempts to destabilize the country by doing so.
T-Shirts on which this particular logo is engraved is also sold. These goods on which this particular logo is engraved as in a manner to grasp the attention of Sinhalese people is sold at the roadsides.
T-Shirts and logo on which “Sinhala Blood” is engraved is sold for Rs.3, 500. Meanwhile, these logos are spread through social websites and lakhs of likes have been gained in a well planned way.
Civil societies have warned that these kinds of propagandas are the initial steps to induce ethnic holocausts against Tamils in a well-orchestrated manner in future. Meanwhile, attempts to tattoo this logo are being seriously made.
Colombo based Medias expressed its suspicions whether these kinds of activities are taken to protect Sinhalese and their belongings during ethnic riots. Minister Herin Fernando has recently condemned these activities which induce the Sinhala Buddhist chauvinism.
Ravaya newspaper, which stated that such an important figure is behind these well-orchestrated activities, has added that this may have been emerged from Mahinda’s idea.
