People made accusation that as the department of forest resources in Killinochchi is being filled with Sinhalese officers, they couldn’t receive complete services. 13 Field officers to the department of forest resources in Killinochchi have been appointed yesterday. Among them, 12 are Sinhalese and only one lady is Tamil.
Except few, most of the officers working in the department of forest resources in Killinochchi are Sinhalese though Killinochchi is a place where hundred percentage Tamil speaking people are living. Due to that, people face inconvenience in receiving services from this department.
Field officers who know only Sinhala language have been appointed after disregarding several demands of appointing the Tamil officers to this particular department.
